REAL ID

REAL ID Information

There is a new form of identification you will need to present when traveling domestically. The new identification will require residents to present a REAL ID-compliant document to fly in the U.S. and enter certain federal facilities under federal law. You can get a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or state ID from the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office. Starting Febuary 1st, 2026, if you do not have a REAL ID-compliant ID then you will be charged $45 to verify your ID through the TSA ConfirmID.

What Travelers are Saying!

This really is a top-notch regional airport. It is clean, with plenty of places to sit, snack/drink options on both sides of security, a large greeting area for arrivals, plenty of parking, an immediately adjacent rental car lot, and short lines: for TSA and check-in. Everyone is generally nice, the atmosphere is laid back and there is free wifi.
